Primary Bath thoughts

We love the zellige, and if the budget were unlimited we would probably do the all-over look with the herringbone in a darker color. However, we are thinking about the price.

OPTION 1.

Do the white zellige on the shower walls and between sink and vanity, find something dark and cheaper for main area floor.

OPTION 1A:

Just walls in white zellige and do the shower floor in a smaller version of main floor tile or similar. Such as:

Black 1x1 Square on floor

or 2x2 as here

Or white penny round, dark grout as in these 2 above (not main floor just shower floor but you can see them together here)

Something like that on the floor? Pretty simple, but maybe with more interest.

OPTION 3:

A similar shape subway tile, stacked vertically, that is less expensive than zellige. Would lose the beautiful texture and luster but keep that graphic look. Same idea for floor: something small/dark for shower floor, larger but similar for main floor. Maybe something more graphic since losing the zellige?

Non-zellige wall tiles:

Here is a 3x12 zellige look glossy ceramic that is less than half the price. We would still stack them vertically. I think in that case we would do Just the shower walls, not floor.

Bedrosians - Cloe 2.5x8 glossy ceramic - $7.99/SF

Here are some applications:

Here is a matte version, which I rather like, and also they come in subway, some colors in 1x12 or square, and penny and hex so we could match the floor if we wanted:

Bedrosian - Makoto 2.5 x 10 Matte Ceramic. $8.29/SF

Riad tile also has affordable ceramic solid tile:
