Very traditional Windsor chairs. It's not that they are my favorite on their own, but see here with the beams and the more contemporary simple table, they ground it and give some curves.
If we could find something basic and sturdy like this from a restaurant supply I would be super happy. I think it reads both antique and kind of midcentury.
I really don't want upholstery. I would even do a vinyl or leather cushion but I want to just let the kids paint and make a mess without stressing about cushions.
I think this is closer to what you maybe had in mind originally, metal frame/bentwood/midcentury vibe. I like it a lot. If we do a rug and/or put sliders on, I think it's still possible.
Obviously the Galvanitas would be ideal. Those things are the cutest.
